Highgate United Football Club were founded 72 years ago in 1948, kicking off at Billesley Common and eventually moving to their present ground, The Coppice, in Shirley. Currently, the 1st team play against other clubs in the Midlands in the Premier Division.

Highgate has recently had a total transformation of their clubhouse, which can be hired out for events and parties, as well as the pitch itself. The clubhouse now boasts plush new carpets and blinds, as well as plenty of space to host all types of functions.
